The Heritage Valley Family Medicine Residency boasts a unique model of full-time employed faculty physicians whose sole responsibilities are the educational activity and grooming of the residents. This core faculty includes family physicians, obstetricians, pediatricians, and a psychologist. With over 400 accredited family unit medicine residency programs in the United States, how can you select ane that will best run into your needs? The Family Medicine Residency Plan at Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, Pennsylvania provides a number of features to help you attain your career goals while too providing a pleasant living environment and admission to cultural, educational and amusement activities.
Accredited in 1979, the Heritage Valley Family Medicine Residency Plan at Heritage Valley Beaver has graduated more than than 200 residents. Currently, the Programme is approved to train half dozen residents each year and is formally affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Heritage Valley Beaver is a progressive 285-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology, including cardiothoracic and neurosurgery. The three-year Heritage Valley Family unit Medicine Residency Program consists of a combination of patient care and teaching. A comprehensive three-year didactic lecture/workshop serial has been designed for residents to ensure that all current and of import topics are covered. MEDICAL STUDENT CLERKSHIPS
Two or iv-week clerkships are available in:
- Family Medicine
- OB/GYN
Clerkships consist of inpatient and outpatient experiences with senior residents and faculty. Students take the opportunity to evaluate patients, formulate diagnoses and therapeutic plans, and participate in procedures under the direction of an attending doctor. Students are encouraged to take a main role in the care of their patients. Living accommodations and food allowances are also provided.

The Wellness Curriculum was developed in recognition of the importance of devoting resources and efforts to bolster life-balance and well-existence among residents during training, as well equally developing skills for adaptation and resiliency throughout the course of a medical career.
