I am always looking for great crockpot recipes, and this tops the charts! Made this dip final night for Monday Dark Football and while we did not enjoy the game (nosotros are Eagles Fans) we absolutely LOVED this dip! I halved the recipe since it was just me and my husband, and it is the perfect size for a little dipper crock pot. this was SOOOOOO piece of cake!! I simply got some corned beef from the store deli and tore it in strips. Likewise brought the cream cheese to room temp. before putting it in. Put the crockpot on low for about 1 and 1/2 hours and that was perfect, everything had melted and was flossy. I served this with cocktail rye equally suggested, but we actually enjoyed it more on tortilla chips! This is going to be my staple appetizer to bring to parties b/c it is extremely easy and delicious! Thank you for the recipe Ella!

Enjoyed this recipe! I chopped the sauerkraut w/ kitchen pair of scissors to brand information technology less messy/stringy to consume, saved the drained sauerkraut juice to add some of it back in to moisten/sparse the recipe subsequently a few hours cooking in the crockpot. I used low fat cream cheese, Boreshead Pastrami from the deli and added " Publix'due south Deli Mustard w/ Horseradish", a few squirts, to add a bit more flavor. I constitute that information technology filled a ii.5 qt Rival Crock Pot to the top. I volition definately use this recipe again and again...

Oh, god. Another winner. Good thing this is New year's day's Eve. I tin can start my nutrition tomorrow. I doubled the g island dressing and served rye crisp and hunks of homemade bread. Can't find me? I'm hanging over the crockpot shoveling this dip in my face!
11/05/2006
I recently fabricated this for the commencement time for pitch-in lunch and received "rave" reviews. Everyone wanted to know what was in it! I made two minor changes. Instead of swiss cheese, I used a shredded mix of mozzarella & smoked provolone (Sargento brand) and added about 2 teaspons more than of the Thousand Island dressing. I besides doubled the recipe. If you do this, you'll have to cook it a lilliputian longer -- approx. 1 hour on high. Then, keep it on low until prepare to serve. This is a very easy recipe and fairly inexpensive (specially if you use the Buddig brand of corned beef). For special occasions & to reduce additives, I will probably utilise fresh corn beef from the cafeteria.
04/19/2006
Very skillful dip! The only matter I would change is to maybe double the Thou Island Dressing. I had it out for a few hours at piece of work and it started to go dry and kind of crusty. I would think a lilliputian more dressing would help out with that. UPDATE: try this cold as a roll-up appetizer... But air-condition overnight for easier cutting. They're great!
06/22/2009
This dip was easy and got swell reviews from everyone that ate it. Quick tip, the recipe calls for 2 C. of corned beefiness, this is approx. 3/four lb. The cafeteria lady helped me figure it out as I didn't want extra!
02/05/2007
This was a hitting during the Superbowl. I served it with tortilla chips and added 1 cup of milk considering I wanted a thinner dip- it did bully in the crockpot on low during the whole game.
03/24/2007
This was then good! I threw information technology together for a work potluck and everyone loved it! I had made a brisket for dinner the night earlier and saved half of it for this recipe. I served information technology with miniature pumpernickle bread squares. Oh...I also doubled the ammount of Thousand Island dressing b/c I Honey information technology!
09/28/2005
It was a great hit at our potluck at work!!! I can't wait to do it again, they were scrapping the lesser of the pot
12/28/2010
THIS IS Fabulous. I ADDED 1/2 CUP One thousand ISLE. DRESSING INSTEAD OF ane/4 CUP AND It WAS PERFECT. Besides - TRY THE RYE TRISCUITS. THEY ARE A MUST WITH THIS DIP. EVERYONE JUST LOVED Information technology.
01/01/2011
I've fabricated this for years. However, I add 1/ii teaspoon of fresh horseradish. It actually gives it the actress zing it needs.
12/eleven/2010
This was absolutely fabled. I'chiliad non a big sauerkraut fan just OMG, the flavor in this is amazing. Here'southward my slight mod on the recipe: I used 1/3c of dressing, about 1 1/2TBs of dijon mustard. We liked about one/2c of extra corned beef. Let it get nice and hot in the ho-hum cooker. I prepare the oven to 350* and hollowed out a loaf of Rye bread and then lightly toasted the loaf in the oven. After that I filled the loaf with the reuben dip, cover the loaf with slices of smokey swiss cheese and bake in the oven merely until the cheese is all melted. Arrange the left over pieces of bread effectually the breadbowl and viola'. A gorgeous appetizer. It besides great correct out of the pot with political party rye or rye triscuts.

This recipe is good, but can be great!!! I have never commented on a recipe earlier and the changes that I made to it, just this tin can be made a lot lot better very easily. Start, utilise half of the cream cheese called for in the recipe. Then, double the meat and the thousand Isle dressing. I also used one and a one-half times the amount of sauerkraut called for, equally well equally the Swiss cheese. And so I added one/2 teaspoon of caraway seeds and 1 teaspoon of onion pulverisation. Now, the central to this recipe: Sometimes when you're mixing a lot of things together you can skimp on the quality of the ingredients because they meld into ane season. Non so hither! Information technology is imperative that you use proficient corned beef - I recommend using kosher corned beef - and a high-quality Swiss. I used an imported Emmenthal Swiss. You also have to have a adept thou Island dressing. Ken'due south is a good pre-made dressing or you can make your own, with plenty of enjoy. I grilled rye breadstuff and cut information technology into wedges for dipping (scooping). This recipe is "passable" and a piffling bland as printed, merely it tastes similar a real Reuben sandwich if you make the few changes I recommend.
01/23/2011
Love this dip! Great for Packer parties - GO PACK!
01/07/2011
Leftovers (if in that location are whatever) are great equally a grilled sandwich. Merely spread on your favorite breadstuff and grill as you would a grilled cheese sandwich.
09/25/2010
Great recipe. Only brought to Oktoberfest feast and guests actually liked information technology! Ii friends of mine said "that was a dip? My god, I just ate a whole plate of it!" I used1/iii fatty foam cheese and it was nonetheless very flossy. FYI: I pound of corn beefiness was 4 cups (doubled the recipe). Thanks for the recipe.
12/11/2010
This was very tasty, and my family really liked it. I did end up more doubling the yard island dressing, because it was a bit bland with just one/four loving cup. I also reserved the liquid from the sauerkraut, and then I could add a bit whenever the dip started to look a flake dry after a few hours on warm in the crockpot. I alternated adding a splash of the sauerkraut juice, and and then next fourth dimension I added a squirt of thousand island. That worked well to keep the dip moist and easily spreadable. We served it with rye crisps and crackers, and it was delicious on both.
02/07/2011
This was awesome. Tasted but like a reuben and was remarkably easy!
12/28/2009
This was a hit a Christmas Eve. The only difference was I used a can of drained Bavarian Sauerkraut and 1/2 pound of cafeteria shaved corned beef. I put it in my crock pot on low and then before I served it I drizzled the Thou Island dressing on top. Serve with some of the Triscuit Rye crackers if you tin can discover them in your grocery store. Thank you for sharing this great recipe!
01/05/2011
Very very skillful! I doubled the recipe and it made manner too much even for a potluck- should take kept the recipe at the same portions! Will make over again and once more!
09/22/2005
this recipe was corking. I made information technology for a family get together and it was gone earlier everyone arrived. Thanks.
01/01/2011
We love Reuben sandwiches. This really hit the spot for our gathering. Next time I'll take to double it!
12/22/2010
Yum, and like shooting fish in a barrel to brand! I doubled the K Island equally suggested by others. Used pastrami instead of corned beef because that is what I had on hand, and it turned out bang-up.
11/25/2008
I did not like it at all. I used canned corned beef and maybe that was the trouble. It tasted bad and I know information technology was full of fat calories.
12/22/2010
Just a tip: I always use bavarian style sauerkraut when I make this. It gives it a little sweeter and more interesting taste.
02/06/2011
Really yummy, was really better the next 24-hour interval!
12/27/2011
This was a huge hit at the family Super Basin political party final year so I'm reviving it for New year's Eve this year! I didn't even take to use the slow cooker but heat on the stove over med low until information technology begins to melt and then pass up to low until everything comes together. Watch the rut though. I made it twice on the stove and the 2d fourth dimension it seemed a footling "grainy" because I left the heat too high for likewise long. I served with toasted, quartered rye breadstuff slices and it was gone in no fourth dimension.
03/04/2008
Beloved this recipe. Have been making information technology for years for our Superbowl party. Wanted to let you lot know - my friend, Deb, says she hates sauerkraut and doesn't intendance for corned beef - she couldn't get enough. So, if you think this recipe sounds foreign, give information technology a try. You'll love it!
xi/xix/2011
Absolutely great. I used corned beef from the deli counter of our store, added a couple of tablespoons of horseradish and cooked it on low in the crockpot for xc minutes. What wasn't eaten at my churchs men's meeting got polished off past the wife when I got home. It'southward a keeper.
01/23/2011
just wasnt very tasty...my 2 yr former grandaughter LOVED information technology though. she sat and ate it with a spoon
02/04/2012
Sorry but this was but not skilful. I followed the directions as stated and used the sweet sauerkraut equally recommended in the reviews. Perhaps it was the kind of sauerkraut we used but it had a very foreign sense of taste and smelled unappealing. We like reubens simply did non care for this dip!
02/02/2012
Made for family Christmas pot luck. I wanted to serve with rye chips (since I don't like cocktail rye bread) merely due to last minute Christmas grocery shopping couldn't find them. I went with bagel chips and pretzel chips and both were bully. Volition definitely make again
02/06/2012
I used pastrami instead of corned beef and used probably a full loving cup of yard isle dressing. Not 100% sure if I cared for the foam cheese in this or if I would apply cream cheese in this again... but it was still very good and creamy. Hubby loved it. Thanks!
02/04/2011
This is a bully recipe! I was skeptical almost it because I am not a fan of sauerkraut just this is SO practiced. I added near ane/2 cup of dressing and this made it simply a impact creamier. I served it with cocktail rye and rye chips but some people simply ate information technology past the spoolfuls. I volition definately make this dip again!
01/01/2012
This was surprising bland, given all the proficient things in it. I added extra dressing, and then even salt and pepper. Usually I don't demand flavors to hit me over the head, but this was way as well subtle. Maybe I needed more corned beef and sauerkraut. I'd try it once again with a few tweaks.
01/26/2010
I was hesistant in writing this review, I idea I'd give it another chance because I didn't really detest information technology, but I never desire to make it again. The 1st twenty-four hour period I made this I think everyone felt every bit I did, eh, let me attempt information technology again, but no one wanted anymore after the second try. Suddenly I, who don't mind having fat foods if it'south flavorful, could only focus on the fat in this recipe and I used low-fat cream cheese. In other words the taste didn't warrant me intaking all the fatty. This was the only change I fabricated to this recipe. I actually like Reuben sandwiches, but I just couldn't get into this. I came back and re-read the reviews and saw one affiche suggest it cold equally a gyre-up. I had about of it left so I tasted information technology and it was better, simply again, I couldn't justify eating all those calories and fat and it doesn't taste that good. So side by side, I reheated information technology and added more one thousand isle after heating (another suggestion from some other poster) and it actually did gustatory modality better, MUCH improve, withal yet non good enough to want to go far over again. I put it back in the 'frig, only I'thousand pretty sure it's on its way to the trash. Sorry this just didn't piece of work for me. For those wanting to make this I practice recommend making it a day alee as it does gustation better once all the flavors meld together and adding a petty more dressing subsequently reheating. Fifty-fifty though I wasn't blown away with the gustatory modality, it was definitely ameliorate after beingness refrigerated and reheated. I promise this helps the next person.
02/25/2011
This is a great dip for parties. Everyone raves well-nigh information technology specially when they try it for the 1st time. I delete the cream cheese and add i/4 loving cup Dijon Mustard.
x/07/2011
This was a huge hitting at my daughter's graduation party. I added an extra 1/iv C 1000 Island dressing and served information technology with torn Pumpernickel bread. Anybody wanted the recipe. Will definitely brand this once again! Thanx for sharing!
11/23/2011
This is now my go-to dip for parties! Everyone loves it!!! I used rye triscuts and they were perfect!
01/23/2011
This is an awesome twist to the traditional Reuben. I made it for an role luncheon & it was a hit. Prepared but as the recipe states. If home I would grill some bread & use it for a sandwich merely as a dip with crackers it'southward great. You won't take left overs.
04/30/2010
Unproblematic and great! Next time I will serve with rye cocktail slices toasted!
05/xxx/2011
THIS IS AWESOME!!! I Merely SERVED Information technology As A SANDWICH SPREAD ON RYE. DO NOT Turn down THIS RECIPE!!
01/xix/2011
Crawly! Used sweet sauerkraut, extra dressing & broiled mini rye rounds for dipping. Anybody loved it & asked for the recipe. Some other proficient political party dish!
10/04/2011
This was very good only I call up I will apply less sauerkraut next time equally it was a lilliputian too tangy.
09/07/2009
LOVED THIS! Used a little shy of a pound of deli corned beef and same with the swiss (sliced in thin pieces with kitchen shears), only had Thousand Island w salary but used i/two loving cup & couldn't tell a unequal, 2 cups homemade kruat....to dice for. Toasted rye breadstuff and cut into points. Shared the recipe already and will be making again! Thanks!
02/14/2006
My family loves reubens and I make them placidity oft, I was then excited to come across this recipe!! If I could I would give it more than stars! It is a new favorite for my family unit THANKS!

01/28/2008
Mmmm---perfect with rye triscuits....
11/08/2010
This was a really great change from the usual crockpot dips. DH didn't care of it, merely I am not sure he likes Reuben sandwiches....so that is to be expected. The only change was that I subbed i C of swiss for one C of Mozzerella as we are not large fans of Swiss. We couldn't actually sense of taste the salad dressing, so I may add together more next time. I will make over again!
02/01/2012
I fabricated this recipe for last twelvemonth's Super Bowl game and the crowd went wild over it! I'chiliad making it once again this year. In that location are other Reuben Dip recipes out there, but I highly recommend using this one because it keep the cheese melted nicely when you make it in a ho-hum cooker.
03/17/2011
St. Pat'south Day so of course I brought this to share at snack 24-hour interval at work. It was a hit to say the least. I did substitute turkey pastrami for the corned beef.
12/13/2011
Didn't gustation similar much. Tasted with cocktail rye and it was very dry. I recommend rye crisps.
02/11/2012
This was so easy!! Very practiced! Made information technology for Christmas and everyone but raved most it. At present I take to bring this to family get togethers.
01/22/2014
This is so delicious and and then easy to prepare! Just put it in the crock pot and walk abroad! I served information technology with miniature marbled bread squares. Everyone raved about information technology! Thanks, C Ella for sharing!
12/15/2010
This dip needs a kick, and then I added some horseradish and information technology made it so much tastier. I found information technology to be bland without the actress punch!
11/06/2011
This dip was excellent! Served information technology at a cocktail party and information technology received rave reviews. I ordered a 1/2 lb of cafeteria corned beefiness sliced fairly thick. And so, I sliced the beef into strips. Used canned sauerkraut- couldn't find jarred at my store. Besides, I cheated a bit and broiled at 350 degrees for most twenty mins then put it into crock to go along it warm. Served with cocktail rye squares. Will def exist making this again! Cheers for the recipe.
06/07/2006
Made this recipe for the showtime time to have while watching a Nascar Race. All of the guys loved it! Very tasty and different.
12/x/2011
I Love this recipe!!! Information technology is great for potlucks or just like information technology is for dinner! The variation I take calls for caraway seeds besides but both ways are really proficient!
10/03/2008
Wow, I Dear this! The 2nd fourth dimension I made this, I let information technology cook a little longer and doubled the 1000 Island. Nosotros tried all kinds of dippers with it and, from some other reviewer, I started with tortilla chips. I thought the dip was kind of meh, but and so I tried with rye Triscuits. It was sooo skillful! Something in the rye just works.
01/27/2012
I wanted to love this, but it fell curt. I didn't make the cornbeef from scratch, however I did go a quality make of cornbeef from the deli counter shredded up, and used real cheese, none of that processed pre packaged stuff. It was just bland, and dried up in the crockpot afterward an 60 minutes,(leaving it on warm) Information technology didn't gustatory modality like a reuben at all, I just wasn't impressed. =(
x/31/2010
This was bang-up! BF and I only loved it. I decided to sprinkle some fennel seeds on mine and I loved that. BF did Not. would be a good idea to serve this with them on the side though. I set this out with a abode made French bread, rustic bread and pumpernickel. Was Crawly.
07/20/2011
This was a large hit, even with people who don't like sauerkraut! I used a pound of corned beef sliced from the deli, and a lilliputian more than than but 1/4 cup of k isle dressing simply otherwise followed the recipe. And I couldn't find the cocktail rye, so I used tortilla strips - delicious!
01/11/2011
it was OK. If i made it over again I would try grinding upward the sourkraut & mixing everything together.
10/05/2011
My married man'south aunt fabricated this for a family unit gathering. It was AMAZING and i hate sauerkraut. I thought it made a great topping for a baked spud!
12/12/2010
Great recipe, and very easy. I put it together in but a few minutes. Fabricated the recipe as directed only did end up adding extra thousand island dressing as other reviewers suggested.
08/04/2009
Wow! People were literally scraping the bowl to get the concluding of this dip! I served it with the square mini-rye and it was amazing. I used a niggling more 1000 island dressing to go on it moist. My husband has already requested this as an addition to his weekly football game tailgating menu for this fall.
10/31/2011
I truely loved this and will def make again. I institute Rye and Pumpernickle swirl bread which was fantastic, although I did toast mine. This dip is likewise great with Triscuit Rye crackers.
03/20/2012
More chiliad
05/14/2012
This dip was first-class - I made it exactly as is, and wouldn't change a thing. All of my guests raved about information technology, and also wanted the recipe.
03/06/2011
The family loved this dip. I used half processed swiss, thought it might melt better, the other half Monterey Jack. Did non have any 'real' corned beef, used ii of the packets, diced upwardly. I don't like sauerkraut, and I liked this. Bought a big loaf of unsliced rye for dipping. Just broke off hunks and slopped it up! Yum.
11/06/2006
Yummo! I made exactly as written but doubled the recipe. Took to a party & served with cocktail rye bread. HUGE hit! Thanks for sharing :)
12/27/2007
OMG, sooo yummy. Take fabricated this again for Sister's pregnant cravings. Yous got to effort information technology!
03/20/2013
We had this tonight and I'm then glad nosotros tried information technology before making a large batch. For our tastes, the ratio of sauerkraut to corned beef is not right. If you similar a meaty Reuben, y'all need at least 1.5 times the meat.
12/11/2005
This is super like shooting fish in a barrel, and super skilful! I used toasted Keebler crackers, merely I liked information technology better with the tortilla fries like another reviewer suggested! I added a lil garlic pulverization!
05/26/2009
This is the start thing that is requested when I am asked to bring something at an outing or party..It is so yummy. I doubled the recipe for the last get-together. And information technology was gone, right abroad, I broiled it, so put it in a ho-hum cooker to go along information technology warm, and i had pieces of fresh pumpernickle and fresh rye breadstuff..I would highly recommend it. I did mix in some mozzarella cheese with the swiss cheese
12/29/2012
Delicious! Broiled in a rye bread round and served with the extra bread.
02/21/2006
I made this dip final calendar week for a birthday party. My guests hovered around the crockpot! It was the get-go appetizer to get. I had several things to scoop it with but tortilla chips seemed to be the favorite.
04/23/2010
I love Reubens and I loved this dip. A coworker had brought information technology in for a potluck and I couldn't get enough of it! She gave me the recipe and information technology is identical to this recipe. I enjoyed it with Ritz crackers, but would definitely like to attempt information technology with cocktail rye, rye crisps, and pumpernickel also. Perhaps even sourdough. Some reviewers take lamented over the fatty content, just I don't believe information technology's intended or implied that this should be consumed on a daily basis. Definitely a succulent treat!
12/29/2010
Nosotros serve it cold minus sauerkraut, double the g island dressing and I added one/2 cup chopped Sweet Baby Gerkins
05/22/2014
Epic Dip!! I honey it. The hubz loves it. Tin can't get enough of it. And did I mention 123 ABC easy?

05/28/2011
This is soooo good just as written!!! no need for any tweaking. I will make this for my side by side work potluck.
02/05/2015
Brought this in for a Super Bowl party at piece of work and information technology was a HUGE hitting! I did double the Yard Isle dressing and purchased my corned beef from the deli, asking them to shave information technology, and then I also chopped it to make certain there weren't whatever large pieces. So, then good!
09/09/2007
Delicious, only like other users noticed, the dip thickens and needs stirred frequently. I added more than dressing once to thin information technology out but gave upward eventually. Otherwise, I loved it, and so did my guests.
12/28/2007
We enjoyed this dip tremendously. I did add a flake of garlic powder to it, but it probably didn't need it. I served information technology with party pumpernickel bread. Yum! Tin't await to go far again!
01/eleven/2012
"YUMMO"!!! I did add more thousand island to make information technology a little thinner. Doubled it for a work pig-out and they loved it.
02/x/2011
Everyone absolutely loved it. I made it as the recipe stated. Three people asked for the recipe!
03/08/2015
This was a big hitting at our euchre party! Doubled the thousand isle and rest of ingredients followed the recipe. Then Good!!
11/23/2010
I loved this recipe and so did my co workers i will definitely use this over again. i have baked a like recipe with mayo instead of cream cheese just i definitely liked the cream cheese ameliorate.
12/29/2010
Bland, bland, bland. There is aught of interest in this dip. I would not arrive once more. High calorie, low season.
12/08/2010
I accept made this several times, and every time it's hard to continue it effectually! Soooo good!
x/29/2008

07/31/2009
This was a big hit at the office potluck!
07/05/2009
This is a gr8 recipe. I did take someones advise to utilise mozzorella in it as well as the swiss every bit you can never put too much cheese in any recipe!!! it was absolutely delicious .. oh and DO NOT use canned corned beef.. it's just as nasty as spam.. I used cafeteria corned beef and it turned out corking!
03/eleven/2014
This is delicious. I made it for a party and it got a niggling thick as the evening went on. I only added a few splashes of beer and information technology was skillful as new!
09/19/2006
Delish!!! Added a little dry mustard and doubled the dressing as previous reviewers suggested considering it was going to sit for a while. Spooned it onto cocktail pumpernickel breadstuff. Cracking recipe- cheers!!!
